The New Hampshire Youth Football and Spirit Conference is again offering its Academic Achievement Awards. In 2006 the program recognized 495 children throughout the program awarding each with a Certificate of Achievement. In addition the program awarded $38,000 in scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to 46 boys and girls for their outstanding efforts. The Merrimack Cardinals received 40 of those certificates.

Everyone who received an academic achievement application has a GPA of 90% or greater and is in 5th grade or higher. Cathy has already computed all of the grade conversions and GPA's for all of the players, so please leave those areas blank. Cathy will complete the form when they are turned back in. Those areas were intentionally left blank for confidentiality reasons.

Please complete the personal data information at the top of the page, parent and player signatures are required at the bottom, and a list of additional (non-sports) achievements or community involvement completed on page two. All of the data reported should be from the 2006-2007 school year.

If you have any further questions, including if you feel your child's report card from last year puts him or her into the above catagory and you have not received the paperwork, please contact contact Cathy Olson

The forms should be returned to your child's coach should by by October 14th.

Also, as a parent you can choose to opt-out of this opportunity by not completing the paperwork.
